Decathlon new NBA partner
The sports store chain Decathlon and the NBA have just formalized the establishment of a partnership. The NBA license will be affixed to 76 Tarmak products, one of the brands of the French brand.
While waiting to find a sports mask that could allow the reopening of sports halls, Decathlon has just formalized a major collaboration. The French sports brand - under its Tarmak brand launched in 2016 - and the NBA have announced a partnership which will concern 1,200 stores worldwide (excluding North America) as well as the website. "Since the creation of Tarmak four years ago, our dream has been to collaborate with the NBA, the biggest basketball league in the world", reacted Damien Dezitter, head of the brand.
In the colors of nine franchises
The association will materialize on the internet in February and on the shelves in March or April 2021, with the arrival of thermal underwear, accessories or sneakers in the colors of nine NBA franchises (Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat). In total, the NBA license will be affixed to 76 Tarmak brand products. "We are thrilled to partner with Decathlon, a leading sporting goods retailer with a global footprint," said Steve Griffiths, NBA Director of Global Partnerships.

Like the shoe brand New Balance, which became the official marketing partner of the NBA last year, Decathlon will try to find its place among the behemoths of Adidas, but above all Nike, the official equipment supplier. NBA until at least 2025.
