At 88, the ace of aces passed away, leaving behind a crowd of admirers, fans of his films and his game. Jean-Paul Belmondo, who performed his own stunts , liked to go to hunts from time to time. The local newspaper La Voix du Nord proudly remembers his visit to Maubeuge, when he was on his way to Brussels with his wife, precisely to hunt. Popular man that he was, he stopped in a bar where he was served like any customer, still indulging in the game of autographs. History does not say if the day of hunting that followed was prolific, but we remember the good and simple man that Bebel was. A movie star like we don't make anymore!
