Applicable from January 2022, the RE2020 aims to reduce the carbon footprint of new buildings and improve their thermal performance. These new regulations will initiate a profound transformation in the way of producing, designing and constructing buildings.Rector's solutions in Individual Houses for RE 2020 floorsRector solutions in Individual Houses for RE 2020 floors

Specialist in the manufacture of prestressed concrete and reinforced concrete floor elements, RECTOR is committed alongside its customers to reducing the environmental impact by offering, as of now, solutions designed to meet the requirements of RE2020. These will be presented on the RECTOR stand at the ARTIBAT exhibition to be held in Rennes from October 13 to 15, 2021.

Concrete solutions to meet the main challenges of RE2020 in single-family homes

Privileged partner of Cmists (Individual Home Builders) and leader in this market for almost 70 years, Rector offers the most complete range of innovative and optimized prefabricated solutions, from basement to flat roofs.

Thanks to the relevance of its prefabricated systems, Rector already meets the three main challenges of RE2020:

Insulation and treatment of thermal bridges for each level of the house

With its range of Equatio floors with insulating interjoists (crawl space, basement, first floor, roof terraces) associated with its Boxes of thermal bridge breakers and their accessories, Rector is one of the only manufacturers to be able to treat the all thermal bridges of the floor in 100% integrated insulation.

For crawl spaces, Rector offers combinations (Equatio VS floors and Rectosten insulating interjoists) to achieve the best PSI compliant with RE2020 regulations, whatever the climate zone. The Rector Research and Development department has thus reviewed all of the calculations to adjust the performance of the floors to the new requirements of Bbio and to offer a wider range of tongue-and-groove interjoists ranging from up 40 to up 11.

Rector low and multi-storey floor systems with integrated insulation are preferred over those with added insulation. Indeed, in addition to saving time and surface area, this type of insulation allows the application of a coating directly on the compression table or the integration of a heating/cooling floor directly without a screed.

"Because we took into account all the climatic zones of France during our studies, we are able to provide relevant and standardized solutions, and to support all our customers during their implementation for compliant houses. Thanks to the adjustment of our solutions calculated to the exact psi, achieving the thermal performance of the floors according to the envisaged thresholds of RE2020 is much simpler”, explains Côme Lesage, Strategic Marketing Manager.

•Controlling the carbon footprint

Requiring less concrete to manufacture and less transport to deliver them to worksites, Rector precast floors are naturally more economical in materials and have a reduced environmental impact. They also have an almost unlimited lifespan.

To obtain a good carbon footprint, a floor made up of prestressed beams and Rector slabs is an optimized solution compared to other solutions such as raised paving or slab on grade.

Finally, Rector markets a range of lightweight interjoists, made of 100% recycled plastic, wood, for crawl spaces or upper floors whose formulations have been designed to reduce the carbon impact on construction sites. “We offer our customers suitable solutions for decarbonizing floors: Rectoplast Recyclé, Primolight and Rectolight, as well as assemblies developed for each site,” adds Côme Lesage.

Beyond the composition of its products, Rector puts the circular economy, the optimization of transport, the management of resources and waste at the factory and on its customers' sites at the heart of its approach.

Finally, all Rector prefabricated floor solutions are subject to an Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet (FDES) to ensure system quality and performance for builders and design offices.

•Taking summer comfort into account

Rector is launching a new range of heated and refreshing Equatio® floors, resulting from its partnership with Rehau.

While preserving the thermal inertia of the floor, this system, integrated into the slab, allows builders of individual homes to offer comfort to their customers, summer and winter, while complying with the RE2020.

With all of these durable Rector prefabricated floor solutions, single-family home professionals have the assurance of choosing performance at controlled costs and compliance with new regulations.Source: batirama. com
