Salon de Montrouge: who are the new talents electrifying contemporary art?

Many videographers have depicted the effects of psychotropics, including the ecstasy caused by recreational drugs consumed at parties. Pierre Pauze takes this ambition one step further: in his Please Love Party project, in 2018, the French artist imagined, with the help of a laboratory, synthetic products based on hormones linked to 'love. From behind the scenes of the manufacture of this new substance to its final use by twenty people invited to test it, together, in a club-like device, his film makes the spectator sway between the luminous and clinical aesthetics of the laboratory and the dark and strobe, party. In Montrouge, this film at the frontiers of behavioral study appears in an installation all in hallucinatory colors, which plunges the viewer into the center of strange visions of thermal cameras printed on carpets and cushions. At their side, the artist presents the bottle which contained, during the filming, the mysterious drug that the twenty guinea pigs tested...
