Test Xbionic Energizer Black 2018

Convinced by my Xbionic Energy Accumulator Evo technical underwear, I let myself be tempted by Xbionic Energizer tights on the PrivateSportShop clearance site.

Description :

Initially, it's more of a tight for outdoor activities (running, golf, etc.) and not specifically for winter sports.

Mine is black and has several technologies developed by the brand:

- The Two-Step 3D-Bionic-Sphere process to regulate the temperature

- ExpansionKnee to promote freedom of movement

Felt & use:

It is a light and comfortable tights. The fabric is really nice on the skin. As usual with this brand, I wear size S/M and these tights fit perfectly. The leg length is ideal and the waist is adjusted without any discomfort.

The ExpansionKnee process ensures very good freedom of movement and consists of a special fabric on the knees. Also, there is a special seam at the coccyx and genitals to facilitate air circulation.

On this model, the compression is light , nothing to do with my Xbionic Energy Accumulator Evo corsair. This results in less heat. It's a first layer that provides sufficient warmth for mild to cold temperatures, but below that it's too tight for my chilly taste.

Then, thermoregulation is good . Perspiration is limited and very quickly evacuated, which avoids any feeling of cold. This also allows you to wear it for several days without giving off bad odors thanks to the qualities of the fabric.

The disadvantage of buying a product that is not particularly intended for skiing is that you have to make some adjustments. The bottom of the pantyhose contains an overstitch (seam) like a mini hem. For me it's not a problem in ski boots, because I take great care that there are no creases when I pass the sock over them. This way, I don't have pain from friction in the shoe, but you have to be careful to avoid creases.

Conclusion :

These are not tights specially designed for skiing, but they do the job very well for mild to cold temperatures. It is light, comfortable and offers total freedom of movement.
