ValentineRenaud graduated from a business school bachelor and a master's degree in fashion products.She started as a lingerie product manager for seven years.For three years, she has been dealing with the development of Easy Peasy, GBB and Little Mary brands as head of the Toobrands Child offer in the Spartoo group.DelphineBoucher, a chemist engineer specializing in leather, joined Toobrands at the end of her studies 4 years ago.First supplier, she became product manager for the boy at GBB, then Easy Peasy recently.
How was the Easy Peasy brand born?
ValentineRenaud: The brand was born in 2008 from the meeting of two young creators: Camille Levai and Sébastien Germes.They wanted to combine their ecological concern and their love of the shoe to create this brand of children's slippers.Its ecological brand positioning was really a pioneer in children's fashion at the time.
Where does this name come from ?
DelphineBoucher: In English, Easy Peasy means Fastoche.This brand name has established itself as obvious as it is fun, funny and international.
What is the brand's postulate?
V.R.: Easy Peasy is a French brand of slippers, shoes and accessories for children and their mom.We seek to give meaning to creation thanks to an ecoconized manufacturing.Using the right products, we are committed to preserving the health of our children, that of our employees, but also that of the planet.We participate in a way in the construction of eco-family.Easy Peasy parents evolve in an ethical approach.With the arrival of the baby, the concern for the other and the future of the planet are at the heart of their daily concerns.All our leathers are tanned in France with plant pigments based on mimosa and quebracho.Even our laces are made in France and made of organic cotton.And, for the well-being of the foot, we mainly use water glues.
How is the style team organized?
V.R.: The collections are the result of teamwork between the product head, the stylist, the buyer, the design office and the workshop.The stylist studies the strong trends of the season and offers ranges of colors and prints.

What are your sources of inspiration?
D.B.: We inspire a lot from nature, the environment and the current changes.Behind each pattern of print, floral or animal, there is a history of benevolence vis-à-vis nature.We campaign in our own way for the endangered fauna and flora ... In parallel, we are inspired by the world of decoration and the house so that our products are based in the landscape of families.
How are your collections segmented?
D.B.: The idea, with Easy Peasy, is to accompany children from an early age.Most of the collection is devoted to soft leather slippers, our signature product.Our products are scalable: at the beginning, they are very flexible for the baby to have the feeling of barefoot, then we add a little skate so that he does not slip as soon as he can stand up.From the start of the 2021 school year, we are launching a line of pre-mast shoes, always ultra-flexible with non-slip soles.A line of accessories for children and the mother will also complete the collections with, among other things, pockets, bananas and organic organic backpacks.
What are the main themes of the spring-summer 2021 collection?
D.B.: We have worked on chromatic agreements very gently and in poetry.Pastel have gradually become more dense and the patterns are more minimalist.In addition, scratches are available in multiple ways and blend in a permanent mix and match.We also played the menu of whites and colors to transform them into fruity shades.
What has changed in children's fashion in recent years?
D.B.: Our sector is, like many others, very impacted by changes in consumption habits.Consumers, increasingly demanding, are waiting for claws to behave in a responsible and ethical manner.So that our brand remains a pioneer in this area, we work hard to be at the forefront of the new most innovative processes and materials on the market.In addition, young parents who choose Easy Peasy attach a lot of importance to the health of their little ones.
How do you see the evolution of your brand in the coming years?
V.R.: We intend to expand our collections to the whole family in the same eco -responsible concern.We also ambition to develop our international claw and in particular in China.
What are you most proudly proud?
V.R.: I am happy to have the chance to develop collections in one of the rare design offices that have its own workshop in France.All our collections are the result of real teamwork.We are twenty to work hand in hand ...
D.B.: I am proud to have had the opportunity to grow and evolve within this company in French know-how.For me, working on a concrete and complex object that is the shoe represents a real daily challenge.A sweet challenge that I am happy to note.
