Good plan - Where to find brand and cheap clothes in Istanbul?
The Beyoğlu ̇ş Merkezi is part, like many others, passages perpendicular to the avenue İstiklal de Beyoğlu.These passages are often filled with clothing stores, accessories or shoes. Some of these stores offer brand clothes at a very low price.Their sellers explain to us how they get these articles: in a fairly particular way.
The Beyoğlu ̇ş Merkezi covers three underground floors and contains nearly 120 different shops, says Can Erbil, who takes care of a store in the first basement. He adds that "all stores here get clothes directly in factories".It is for this reason that the prices are so attractive.Merchants buy surplus production or articles with minor defects. They sort between these two types of products, which are then sold at different prices.

Murat Altın, another seller, explains that around half of the clothes of the passage comes from the purposes of production of series often offered in a single size."The other half is made up of defective clothes," he said, showing a small white spot on a leather jacket. The factories therefore have a large stock of clothes that the brands will not buy them, because of these faults or the beginning of a new collection.
Factory prices
The merchants recover all these clothes in the factories on the edge of the city.Mertcan Demirtepe (right -wing photo), owner of his shop, explains that these production surpluses are found in all the factories of Istanbul. He quotes the districts of Merter, Güngören, Laleli, Osmanbey, Güneşli or Yenibosna. He says that he does not go directly through factories: he buys his clothes from wholesalers of other districts, who get them factories. In this way, its products are already sorted and without defects.
Kaan, seller on the ground floor, specifies that the Merter factories are "the ideal place" according to him because there is the best value for money. The factories of Osmanbey or Güneşli would offer higher prices. He says that buying a series (four or five rooms of the same size) of brand t-shirts directly at the factory returns at a price varying between 10 and 25 tl (between 3 and 9 euros approximately).
All these "made in Turkey" products, sometimes drooped, are then sold at a slightly higher price in the passage.A t-shirt is sold there between 10 and 20 tl, and pants between 30 and 50 tl.
