While the car market has fallen by 15% compared to last year, according to figures from the AAA Date firm relayed by capital.fr, the electric vehicle market is enjoying tremendous success. Thus, 21,000 new models of this type were sold during the first half of 2021, representing, for the first time, a market share of more than 10%.

The Tesla Model 3, the best-selling electric car in 2021
A success driven by one electric car in particular, according to data compiled by Statista: the Tesla Model 3, of which more than 13,000 new units were sold in France between January and June 2021. On the second step of the podium, is, not far away, the Renault Zoé, followed by the Peugeot e-208. The Volkswagen ID3, the Hyundai Kona EV and the Mini Cooper SE close the top 10, with, respectively, less than 3,000 models sold since the start of the year.
