La fashion week deMilan s'est ouverte avec deux expositions hommages à Giovanni Gastel présentées à la Triennale deMilan et respectivement baptisées « The people I like»» et « I Gioielli della fantasia»» (littéralement « Les joyaux de l'imaginaire»»).

Photographe de mode italien décédé à 65 ans des suites du Covid en mars 2021, ce natif deMilan était aussi le neveu de Luchiano Visconti.Moins connu de ce côté-ci desATlpes, Giovanni Gastel s'était illustré dès les années 1970 en collaborant avec de grands magazines de mode (Vogue, VanityFair…) ou en signant d'importantes campagnes de publicité (Dior, Versace, Tod's…).AT.F.
